Your new brows are now considered a wound. To prevent infection and proper healing, do not wear any makeup on your brows for 2 weeks. Makeup everywhere else is okay. Do I Need Touch Ups and How Often?
The infection will only make things worse for you and delay the healing of your micro-bladed eyebrow. After microblading, you can expect to have flaking, tenderness, itching, swelling, or redness, and if you exercise these side-effects can aggravate. Therefore, you should not exercise until your scar has healed or your makeup artist allows you. Yes! A touch up session after 4 weeks is necessary as everyone heals differently and outcome will vary. Certain areas may not pick up during first session and will need to be refilled. Pigment color may need to be adjusted, brow thickness and more strokes can be added. Individuals with oily skin often require a deeper shade during the touch up session as the oils tend to lighten the pigment. Most importantly, your touch up session is when we refine your brows to ensure it looks perfect and retains the color for the whole year! How Long Does the Microblading Healing Process After Touch Up Last? Swelling, redness, skin sensitivity, and some minor bruising are normal side effects to the eyebrow tattoo procedure but they shouldn’t last longer than a day or two. How easily a person swells and bruises depends on factors such as their age, skin type, and circulation. Swelling and bruising may disperse into a larger surface areas of the face, like the forehead. On average, cosmetic tattoo eyebrows are least affected by swelling or bruising (compared to eyeliner, and lips) and should have very minimal issue if at all. If swelling or bruising persists for more than a few days, it may be a sign of infection, so be sure to contact your doctor right away.
